Many people practice parkour nowadays. The reason is probably that it is very exciting and challenging. However, there are some important things that you should know and definitely don’t do if you are practicing this sport:
- Never try something that you are not sure about, it could harm you seriously. Some people will try to do some crazy stuff without having the right knowledge; at least people should look for tutorials if they don’t have a personal trainer. If you try to do a backward jump in concrete for the first time, chances are that you don’t do it properly, and there are more ways to fail than ways to do it right, so please, try first on a smooth surface or in a pool.
- Don’t bother people in public spaces. There are some people that will be just chilling out or walking around to enjoy a relaxed day, so please, don’t jump way too close to them because chances are that they feel very disturbed if they see someone jumping like if there was an action movie being filmed nearby. At least, if you are going to share the same space, try not to jump crazily and tackle them, even if it is not your intention, you could hit them at some point and that is not something you should do.
- Don’t eat too much before practicing parkour. This is pretty obvious, but some people could overlook it anyway. You should not eat a bunch of ice cream and a hamburger just before jumping during 1 hour. This is especially dangerous for your body, since you could throw up and even lose consciousness. You surely don’t want to lose your awareness while you are in the middle of the air just about to fall. You rather eat smoothly and wait at least 1 hour before doing your parkour training.
